This was the first book ever published that featured extensive use of beads in traditonal kumihimo braids. In 1995 when this book first appeared the use of beads in kumihimo was extremely uncommon. Although the beads play an auxiliary role to highlight the beauty of the fine kumihimo they are often appear to take center stage.

Although the book is written completely in Japanese, it can be enjoyed by all as it is essentially a photo exhibition of lifetime work of Kumiko Kakimoto. Over 100 pieces are displayed in the breathtaking and inspirational photos.

This book is out of print, however these remaining copies are brand new in mint condition.
