Learn to make a fringed two-tone collar with seed beads and two-hole crescent beads. Featured in the February 2017 issue of Bead & Button Magazine. This version of the necklace uses both matte and shiny crescent beads for added dimension. Also available in two other colorways: Purple/Blue and Turquoise/Gold.
Kit Supplies:
- Complete, detailed and illustrated instructions
- Toho 8º round seed beads
- CzechMates 3 x 10 mm Crescent Beads
- 3mm Magatama Toho Teardrops
- CLon/SLon Bead Cord Tex 210 (#18) & split ring
- Magnetic Acrylic Clasp
Additional Tools & Supplies needed to complete project:
- Marudai, eight tama, counterweight & chopstick – or – Disk and eight plastic bobbins
- Beading Needle #12
- Big Eye needle or bead spinner and bead spinner needle
- Fireline, 6 lb. test, or nylon beading thread size D
- Cord zapper (optional)
- FrayCheck or Gum Arabic (for stiffing cord ends, superglue or nail polish can also be used)
- 2-part epoxy adhesive, 5 minute setting, & toothpick for attaching clasp – instructions for using 2-part epoxy
