Magnifiers

Magnifiers are sometimes needed during prep and/or braiding depending on each person’s needs as well as the task at hand. If you don’t normally wear glasses, inexpensive readers may work fine for you.

Magnifiers are recommended when:
• Working with small beads
• Finishing the end of braids
• Gluing on clasps
• Securing findings

My favorite is a lightweight magnifying visor, available at RioGrande.com, so comfortable that I can wear for hours. The magnifier easily flips out of the way when you don’t need it, so it is not necessary to take the visor off. Comes with a choice of three different magnifications, which are Magnification/Reading Powers: 1.75X, 2X, 2.5X and a focal length choice of 8 in. (20 cm), 10 in. (25 cm), 14 in. (35 cm).
