Awl – Tulip Brand

A B C D H K M P S T W

This handy little tool is good for so many things that I will probably forget to list them all (ha ha, get the pun). I really prefer the Tulip brand awl, yes it is a lot more expensive than other ones, but it is so worth the price. The Tulip awl has a fine ball point tip which means that it is smooth and won’t snag fibers. It is useful for:
• Removing burs from objects such as pearls.
• Breaking unruly beads.
• Teasing open knots in fiber.
• Untangling the thin threads of Japanese pre-cut kumihimo silk.
