A big eye needle makes stringing beads easy when you use a bead spinner. They have a larger opening than ordinary needles and can accommodate fairly thick fiber. They even work for loading beads directly onto silk or metallic Japanese fibers. They come in a variety of sizes, I generally keep a short and long one hand as they each have their advantages.
A great hack for a big eye needle: Dental floss threader. They are inexpensive and easy to find in any pharmacy.
